Lafayette, LA
Lafayette, LA gets ready for another dose of awesome nerdiness with the second Louisiana Comic Con which takes place in less than two weeks! On the weekend of October 8th and 9th, the heart of Louisiana will be home to the likes of Boba Fett, Winston Zeddemore, Father Gabriel, and tons of other wonderful celebrity guests, authors, cosplayers, and vendors.
I attended last year’s event and it was a huge success. I got to catch up with my favorite green friends, Orion’s Envy, and also got to meet Lew Temple of The Walking Dead and Mayor Goldie Wilson himself, Donald Fullilove, from Back To The Future. This year looks to be just as exciting, with a guest list that includes Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett from Star Wars), Ernie Hudson (Winston from Ghostbusters and star of many other films and television shows), Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel from The Walking Dead), Deep Roy (from the new Star Trek films, the new Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and many more films), and many more!
I actually met Mr. Bulloch a few years ago at another convention. If you have the chance to meet him, take it! There are very few actors who are as approachable and friendly as Mr. Bulloch. I highly recommend meeting him (and Doctor Who fans, he was on the classic series as well).
I also recommend visiting with Chuck Huber, who is well known in the anime world for his voice acting abilities, but whom I love for his work as Bones in Star Trek Continues. I am also very fond of cosplayer Cami Roebuck, who isn’t just a great cosplayer. She’s an excellent crafter as well (my daughter has a Superman pillow that Cami created).
If you happen to be in the Lafayette area in two weeks, be sure to check out the Louisiana Comic Con. It’s a family-friendly event that will feature panels, artists, authors, and all sorts of vendors. I really enjoyed last year and hope that this year is just as great!

Oh, and on a completely different note, Bonnie Gordon is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!
I hope to make it out to the event either late Saturday morning/afternoon or on Sunday. I hope I get to see you there! As always, thanks for reading. I plan on giving a full update (pictures included) about the event once it has passed!
